Celebrate Celtic Heritage
at the 2nd Annual Four Winds Celtic Music Festival!
Whitehouse, TX – (September, 2009) Through the magic of music, travel to the shores of Ireland or the highlands of Scotland! In its second year, the Four Winds Celtic Music Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 19 & 20, 2009 at the Four Winds Faire site in Troup, Texas, just 11 miles south of Tyler. Enjoy a variety of talented and nationally recognized musicians as they play new and traditional Celtic and Folk tunes, celebrating the spirit of both Celtic and American heritage. On Saturday, artists include Shauna Burns, 5 Second Rule, Tim Glennon, Bob Jordan, The Jed Marum Band, Curtis Monson, ParaCelt, and Willow. Shauna Burns is a nationally acclaimed Celtic music artist, 5 Second Rule is a talented four-piece Celtic band from Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Jed Marum has been named the “No. 1 Folk Music Artist of 2009.” The main attraction on Sunday is Desiree and New Texas Tribe. The lead singer, Desiree Stephens, is a native of Whitehouse and is a nationally recognized recording artist in folk/country music.
Four Winds features plenty of seating in a park-like atmosphere, delicious food and beverages, and outstanding Celtic and Folk musical acts for the weekend, rain or shine. Festival hours are Saturday from Noon to 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Adult Admission is $12 each day, kids 12 and under are FREE.
The Four Winds Faire site is located just 11 miles south of Tyler, Texas on Hwy. 110 South, between Whitehouse and Troup; site address is 21852 C.R. 2178, Troup, TX. From the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, it is just 85 miles east off I-20 at the Hwy. 69 exit to Tyler, and just 80 miles west of Shreveport/Bossier City, LA off I-20 at the Hwy. 69 exit.
Tickets are available at the gate or advance tickets may be purchased from www.ticketderby.com. FREE parking is available. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to this special event. Patrons may bring coolers on-site, but no pets, please. Nearby camping is available.
